Family sponsorship to Canada so your family can be together.

If your husband, wife or parent is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, they may be able to sponsor you. These files are personal, and they are judged on evidence. We help you show your relationship clearly and completely.

Is it for you?

Who family sponsorship suits

Family files rarely fail on rules. They fail on evidence that leaves questions unanswered. We read your file the way an officer would and fill the gaps before you submit.

  • Spouses in Pakistan married to a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Couples who need to present their relationship evidence properly
  • Families sponsoring dependent children
  • Canadian residents planning for their parents or grandparents

Step by step

How Family Sponsorship works

  1. 1

    Check both sides

We confirm that the sponsor qualifies and that the person being sponsored is eligible.

  2. 2

    Build the relationship file

Marriage records, photos, communication and visits are organised so the story is easy to follow.

  3. 3

    Submit together

The sponsorship and the permanent residence application are filed together.

  4. 4

    Biometrics and medical

IRCC asks for biometrics, a medical exam and police certificates.

  5. 5

    Decision

Once checks are complete, IRCC decides and issues confirmation of permanent residence.

Paperwork

Documents you will usually need

Exact requirements depend on your case. We give you a personal checklist after your assessment.

  • Passports for the sponsor and the applicant
  • NADRA marriage registration certificate (MRC)
  • Wedding photos and evidence of the relationship over time
  • Proof of the sponsor's Canadian status
  • Police certificates and an immigration medical
  • Birth certificates for any children included

Questions

Family Sponsorship FAQs

Does the sponsor need a minimum income?

For parents and grandparents, yes, a minimum necessary income applies. For spouses, partners and dependent children there is generally no minimum income requirement, with limited exceptions.

How can I prove my marriage is genuine?

There is no single document that proves it. Officers look at the whole picture: how you met, your wedding, time spent together, communication and family involvement. Clear, consistent evidence matters more than volume.

Can I sponsor my parents to Canada?

Parents and grandparents are sponsored through invitation rounds that open from time to time with limited places. The Super Visa is a separate option that lets parents visit for long periods.
